Fortune Teller
Luck, love, positivity, wisdom, prosperity or the discovery of some fateful numbers - all things we hope to find by having our fortune read. And you don’t need a crystal ball! Carry these little cookies to showcase your fortune to the world. Each cookie is made from scrap leather - some custom dyed and or custom marbled. These colorful (leather) confections clip to an existing skinny strap, zipper pull or spring ring (recommended for bags with larger hardware) and will come with your own special fortune attached. Wear it out and about to make your own luck!
The name Fortune Teller is inspired by the Benny Spellman ditty that was written by New Orleans based writer Alan Toussaint and covered by multiple artists over the decades (The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Robert Plant and Allison Krauss to name a few)
Each cookie is approximately 3.25” (8cm) in length
Please note all items in the Lyric & Aster store are handmade. They are crafted of pre-loved, dead stock or salvage. Meaning they have lived a life before and may have small blemishes or scuffs, spots, mild unevenness rust or a touch of verdigris. These are not considered flaws due to a) the nature of each item and b) I myself am human, not a machine – all items are upcycled – punched, stitched, sewn by hand.
