Memphis Minnie
Strong and talented this guitarist even influenced the great Sister Rosetta Tharpe. A runaway to Beale Street in Memphis at the age of 13, she joined the circus for some time before returning to Beale Street. She played for pocket changed until she was discovered by a recording scout and became a successful artist in the 1930s.
The Guitar / Bass Slinger straps take repurposing to the max. Made from pre-loved belts and remnant leathers. Each belt has a unique story to tell and reminds me of a particular artist and their stage persona. I would recommend a weight limit for your bag of no more than 8lbs when using this strap.
Strap features natural brass hardware and measures 38” end to end. This would make a good shoulder strap or would work for someone who enjoys wearing a bag “bumbag” style - high across the chest.
Please note all items in the Lyric & Aster store are handmade. They are crafted of pre-loved, dead stock or salvage. Meaning they have lived a life before and may have small blemishes or scuffs, spots, mild unevenness rust or a touch of verdigris. These are not considered flaws due to a) the nature of each item and b) I myself am human, not a machine – all items are upcycled – punched, stitched, sewn by hand.
Please take time to view the photos posted for any and all items as they are a large part of the description. Should you have further inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out.
